You have booked the train or flight, chosen your chalet and found a restaurant you would love to try. Now you need to connect the dots. Here is what to share when arranging a private transfer in Savoie, including the small details that matter in the mountains.
Train or plane: choosing your arrival point
For Courchevel, Méribel, Saint-Martin-de-Belleville, Les Menuires and Val Thorens, Moûtiers–Salins–Brides-les-Bains station is a gateway to the Three Valleys. Bourg-Saint-Maurice connects you with Les Arcs and the upper Tarentaise. For Les Arcs, the funicular also runs from the station to Arc 1600: compare your options according to your address and luggage.
Flying into Geneva, Lyon Saint-Exupéry, Chambéry Savoie Mont Blanc or Grenoble Alpes Isère? Share the airport, flight number, date and scheduled landing time. At Geneva, include your arrival sector if you know it. Agree the meeting point with Martial and make sure he has a number he can reach on the day.
Families and groups: 7 passenger seats and the right load
The Renault Trafic Combi has 8 seats including the driver, so up to 7 passengers can travel with Martial. Count every adult and child. An available seat does not, on its own, tell you how many suitcases and skis will fit: describe your group and equipment when asking for a quote.
List large suitcases, bags, ski or snowboard bags and pushchairs. If you need a child seat, share the child’s age and check the requirement with Martial; please do not assume a seat is already available. A written message helps keep these details together.
Your resort, then your exact address
“Courchevel” or “Les Arcs” may not be enough to plan the arrival. Share your accommodation’s village, altitude or neighbourhood: Courchevel Le Praz, Courchevel Moriond, Méribel-Mottaret, Arc 1600 or Arc 1950, for example. Add the hotel or chalet name and full address.
Some properties are in pedestrian areas or streets where access depends on local conditions. Agree the drop-off point before travelling. If you can only check in after a certain time, share that information too: it helps plan the arrival, but the transfer does not include a luggage storage service.
Plan the journey home when booking the outward trip
For a return transfer, give both dates. For the journey home, distinguish the time you would like to leave your accommodation from your train or flight’s departure time. This helps establish a suitable pick-up time and check availability for both journeys.
In winter, weather, traffic and holiday changeover days can affect the journey. Allow time for your connection and, at the airport, the formalities before your flight. Martial helps agree the departure time; journey times are not guaranteed. Contact him directly if your schedule changes.
Explore Savoie without driving yourself
A walk beside Lake Bourget can be paired with a visit to Hautecombe Abbey. Chambéry brings together the Musée Savoisien, the Castle of the Dukes of Savoy and the old town’s streets. In the Beaufortain, combine Beaufort village with a taste of its cheese; in the valleys, Baroque churches and chapels reveal another side of the mountains.
For the vineyards of Chignin, Apremont or Jongieux, lunch or a special dinner, plan the journey back as well. Book visits, tastings, restaurants and hotels directly with each venue. Share your stops, preferred times and any waiting time: transport and its conditions are quoted separately and do not include activities at the destination.
A clear request, followed by confirmation
The price depends on your pick-up point, destination, timing and group’s needs. Send addresses, dates, passenger numbers and luggage details through the form or WhatsApp. A quote request does not reserve the vehicle: the journey is confirmed once the price, conditions and Martial’s availability have been agreed.
Martial speaks French and a little English. The website and form are available in the listed languages; this does not mean he speaks all of them. To make communication easier, send place names, addresses and times in writing. The form prepares the journey’s field labels in French for Martial and keeps your comments exactly as you write them.
